Ovarian Carcinoma with Peritoneal Metastasis: Rethinking of Management

Epithelial Ovarian Carcinoma (EOC), a type of cancer that is usually diagnosed in advanced stages. To date, standard treatment EOC surgery with neoadjuvant or adjuvant platin and taxane based systemic chemotherapy. Hyperthermic intraoperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) considered cases recurrence EOC. HIPEC has been accepted as gold standart for the pseudomyoxoma peritonei ovarian appendiceal origin. More recently, randomized clinical trial supports promising option peritoneal metastasis (PM) (OC) surgical series. also reported to be an effective primary recurrent PM OC. As result, standardization optimization technique, determination patient subgroups OC responding treatments, personalized evaluation treatments currently carried out by multidisciplinary team still need re-evaluated.
